Rumour has it that Microsoft Windows 8 will be revealed in September as a large developer event is set to run from 13-16th September.

If Microsoft do end up unveiling it at September, we should expect to see a full release of around September 2012. This means we could start to see prototype Windows tablets nearing to the end of the year, however the tablet-specific Windows OS is unlikely to mature until at least the beginning of 2012.
