HeartBeat...!

You are in every breath, in every heartbeat,
I swear to god,
You are in every breath, in every heartbeat,
Oh god, o god...!
You are in every breath, in every heartbeat,
truly, I swear to you,
You are in every breath, in every heartbeat,
Wherever you are...!
You are in every breath, in every heartbeat.

I walk in your paths,

I live with your memories,
Without you it's difficult to live a moment...!

You are there in every feeling, everything...!

How would the world know what is madness,

all the joys are here, but still what sadness is here...!
But all alone, I'll not be able to live...!

You're there in every way, and every destination,
I swear to god...!

There is just one wish, that I get you...!

Like I am darkness and you're the morning,
but still all my wishes feel less...!

You're there in every colour, in every fragrance..
I swear to god...!

I walk in your ways,
I live with your memories,
without you it's tough to live for a moment...!

you're there in these clouds and stars too...!
I swear to god...!
You are in every breath, in every heartbeat...!

17 Things Every Experienced Traveller Will Tell You...!

In a lot of ways, traveling is like any skill or sport. The more you do it, the better you get at it. This basically means that you screw up a whole lot less and enjoy yourself a whole lot more. It’s more about learning through trial and error. But who doesn’t love short-cuts? Here are a few things every seasoned traveler knows to be true.

1. When you’re traveling by train, avoid the top berth like the plague.

Even in a Rajdhani, the top berth of an A.C 3 tier feels like being trapped in a rabbit hole.

2. If you’re traveling to a railway station in a small town, don’t sleep. Don’t even take a nap!

Those things are usually blink and miss. I remember how I was traveling to Barnala in Punjab. I asked the T.T when the train would reach my station. The best he could give was a broad “guesstimate.” The train pulled into the station at 3:30 in the morning, stopped for a grand total of 2 minutes and left. Had I not been awake and prowling near the doors, I would have probably ended up somewhere else entirely.

3. Remember to keep something that could keep you busy while you wait.

Contrary to what you might think, traveling is basically short periods of excitement and adventure punctuated by regular sessions of “waiting.” To make that torture bearable, carry or buy a couple of your favorite books or magazines and always keep a portable charger on you.

4. When you’re in a hot place, instead of dressing down, dress up.

Cover your head. Cover your arms. And cover your eyes. Why?  Here’s why. Caps or other head-gear will protect you from sun-stroke. Remaining fully clothed is a smart way to avoid sun-burn and nasty tans. And finally, a pair of shades will keep your eyes safe and make you look reasonably badass…

5. When you’re in a cold place, instead of wearing a Yak Skin over-coat, wear your clothes in layers.

They’ll keep you warmer and are easier to manage when you work up a sweat. This way, you’ll ensure that you never fall sick.

6. Keep your eyes and ears open.

Traveling is chaotic by nature. And if you’re traveling in India, ratchet up the chaos by at least 50%. Timings, routes and travel times will change on the fly, so keep your eyes and ears open for all announcements and information.

7. Google Maps are great. Locals are better.

When you’re trekking in the North-East, you’ll probably get better directions from a local than if you only rely on your mobile. He might even throw in a short-cut. Take it at your own risk though.

8. Never under-estimate the importance of soap strips.

These things are life savers. Trust me, you don’t want to take a dump immediately before lunch time and discover that the dhaba you stopped at doesn't have soap.

9. Always keep water on you.

This seems like a no-brainier but it’s surprising how many people forget this. While bottled water is readily available at most locations, you never know if what you’re drinking is actually Bisleri or tap water from some shady dude’s bathroom. To illustrate my point, here’s something I found on a bench at a Delhi Metro Station. You get the drift, right?

10. Carry the right bag for the right trip.

Doing a lot of walking? Backpack. Flight to hotel and back? Stroller. Not hard at all.

11. The devil is in the details. And train timings.

It’s super important to know your A.M.’s from your P.M.’s. I had to learn this the hard way.

I had a train to catch from Ludhiana to New Delhi at midnight. The said train pulled into the station at a different platform. I found it weird but thought nothing of it. I went to my bogey and checked for my name on the list. It wasn’t there. Something definitely wasn’t right. The train started off and I found someone already sleeping on my berth. I looked at my ticket and realized that I had happily booked a ticket for the train that left at 00:05 on the 20th. I had arrived a day late on the 21st at 12:05 A.M. My train had left the day before.

12. A little compromise on “fancy” takes your money a long, long way.

Once, for half the price of 1 night’s stay at a “fancier” hotel, I stayed for two nights at a much more modest establishment. And I didn’t complain. I had clean beds, running hot and cold water and cable TV! As someone who gets ripped off by vegetable vendors on a regular basis, I considered that a huge victory. Keep just one thing in mind though. Never compromise on essential things like cleanliness and safety. Those are things worth spending on. And if you're particular about this, book a room beforehand from the OYO Rooms website.

13. Never keep all your eggs in one basket. By eggs, I mean money.

Split up your money and keep some reserve cash stashed away in a safe place. You never know when you might get pinched, cash, ID, cards and all…

14. Try to pick up on the local language.

People love it when you try to speak in their native tongue. Even if your efforts are pathetic at best, they’ll crack a smile and treat you better.

15. If you’re going to go catch a flight, keep an hour on hand.

So obvious. Yet so tragic. Most flights are expensive. And non-refundable if missed. Arrive a good hour before boarding time and live a happier life.

16. Never go for the first option.

Be it taxis or shopping or choosing a hotel, look around. Compare and then select. If you have the time.

17. Lastly, always remember to keep some ID on your person. You never know when you might need it.

It’s important to keep some identification handy and keeping it safe. And when you’re traveling abroad, guard your passport with your life!

There are a hundred other things one should keep in mind, but these are the ones that I felt were really important. Feel free to add more in the comments below. Stay safe and keep traveling. Here’s to wanderlust...!

God...!

I’m not in humans,
I’m sold in shops,
I made this world with my hands
not with earth, but with emotions...!

I’m roaming, searching

where are my signs...!

Like your shadow

I walked with you
when the sun shone over your head,
I provided shade for you...!

I have made these birds

this flowing water
But from earth to sky,
it's all my story...!

You are made from me, too...!

Why do you divide me here,
destinies are made by me
These images are filled with life
But why are they still speechless...!

12 Things For Bikers Hitting The Road In The Rains..!

If you are a bike rider in India, there is absolutely nothing you must dread more than the rains. There is that small honeymoon period in which you’d enjoy raindrops on your face, the potentially beautiful view all around, and the subtle overwhelming rush of a slight loss of control over your bike. But beyond that, the rains are a surefire way to the hospital if you are not careful enough. Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Here are 12 commandments for every biker to remember, tell your biker-bros about them!

1. Thou shall suit up :

Investing in good rain attire is a given, especially if you value your health and do not fancy looking like a hassled pigeon.  Also, there is nothing sexy about riding in soggy clothes. At all.

2. Thou shall be headstrong:

A good helmet with a strong visor will be your best buddy, especially in bad weather conditions. Keeping your face protected will automatically make your journey that much safer.

3. Thou shall get tread-locked:

Just like you’d wear monsoon-specific footwear, your bike needs to have a set of monsoon-ready tires. In the absence of that, quite obviously you’d be slipping here, sliding there, everywhere!

4. Thou shall keep eyes on the road, always!

Let’s be honest- Indian roads are far from the best in the world. The slightest distractions could have you driving into sewage, garbage, potholes, zoned out a-holes, and who knows what else!

5. Thou shall stay away from liquid rainbows:

As bright and colourful as they may seem, these multicoloured blots are in fact oil spills. Get ready for a world of stickiness, grime, dirt, and a whole lot of scrubbing once you pass through one of these.

6. Thou shall wait it out:

The best offence is a good defense; stay out of a short spell of rains as much as possible. The roads are most dangerous then, given the dirt and grime that gets unsettled.

7. Thou shall straighten your bike:

The greater the angle of your bike, the greater the chances of you losing grip of your vehicle. Slow down, figure a less devilish angle to tread on, and be on your way. This is especially true on metallic surfaces (read drainage covers and manholes). They would be super slippery.

8. Rear brakes > Front brakes:

Repeat this a thousand times if you must: “Rear brakes before front brakes”. Chances are your bike will do an endo the second you jam those front brakes. Not a great situation, even for the most experienced of motorcyclists.

9. Thou shall pump them brakes, yo!

As much as it’s advised to keep your hands on the brakes at all times, do some sudden braking, and you are most probably done for. Use your brakes diligently, and keep pumping them so that your bike doesn’t aquaplane.

10. Thou shall keep your distance:

Irrespective of how well you drive in rainy conditions, always take it for granted that there is at least one other person who is not in control of their vehicle. Of course, this is not to get you paranoid about riding on the streets, but surely you can’t be too careful, right?

11. Thou. Shall. Wear. Bright. Clothing. :

This one is pretty simple: brighter clothing = brighter blobs on a rainy street. By any standard, the chances of you getting rammed into are much slimmer if you’re wearing bright clothing. Just sayin’.

12. Thou shall enjoy the ride!

The pure joys of cruising on your bike should not be affected by rain. Like every other biking experience, riding in the rain is about enjoying every second of the ride. And if you are a biker, you already know that...!

You have become me...!

You have become me, you have become me
I have become you, you have become me.
The boys are vibrant and happy hearted
We ride high on the horses of wind.
The journey of heart is fearless
Oh the companion of the heart, be fearless
Take faithfulness from us
Take fresh air from us.
We shall buy the moon for you
We won't give you a bungalow
But we will bring peace
We are familiar with such ways
Why do you agonize with craving just like that,
Drink with the eyes, or with lips...!
But don't love for fake...!
O friend, have fear of God...!
Nice gifts
true meetings are,
(and) Talks of love are...!
Say O heart, since when is s/he a beloved...!
In the story of heart,
whatever days are there in your share (in your fate)
They'll be brought, they'll be had,
s/he'll get them (to you) from the heart...!
Remove the worries,
forget the worries,
burn the worries...!
Come O beloved, I'll give you the world of dreams,
Where everything will be living...!
Even the city will be like heart itself,
One will breathe freely (there)...!

Are You A Tourist Or A Traveller? These Posters Will Tell You...!

Much like favorite genres of music or literature vary from person to person, the way people travel also varies. Some like to capture each and every moment in their cameras while others venture out to soak up every moment and capture them in their memories. Some may look for the best restaurants to eat at while others would walk towards the shanty, yet tasteful establishments.
Holidify came up with the following posters which depict such differences between a 'tourist' and a 'traveller'. Take a look to find out what kind of a person you are :

Son Lost In Crash...!

Enough of hide and seek, come before me.
I searched for you everywhere.
Your mother is now tired.
Its evening and I'm worried about you.
Hazy is what my sight is, come to me.
What do I tell you about the place where I am, mother?
There is freedom and independence like the vast sky here.
Like your stories, innocent and beautiful is a dreamland here.
My kite (I am) is flying without any worries
Nobody to steal or cut my kite's string.
My eyes are waiting for you
My heart is going through various emotions.
Slowly darkness in creeping in the courtyard, where is my lamp(son)
The sun is setting and gesturing to the moon, where are you?
Where are you my moon (son)?
I've drunk water from the fountain
I've touched several clusters of my dreams
The sunlight along with the shade is here
The atmosphere is so different and new
All that I want is here  but still...!
Loneliness is what I feel here without you...!

Smile...!

You, without telling, take me somewhere,
where you smile, that only is my destination...!

I felt sweet, I just tasted it now,
life has become a lump of sugar
where your arms are there, my shore is there only...!
you, without telling, take me somewhere,
where you smile, that only is my destination...!

to the street of my heart, come like showers
let the caravan of my dreams be drenched,
what you hum, only, is my tune...!
you, without telling, take me somewhere,
where you smile, that only is my destination...!

Pink Pink Pink Pain Pink Heart Pink Love Pink...!

The evening is rosy pink, the morning is pink,
The time is pink, and this city is pink too...!

I'm pink too, and you're pink

The day is pink and the havoc (that you have created in my mind) is pink too...!

The thread that is tied between us in hiding is pink,

There is no force, and no ego..
The thread that is tied between us in hiding is pink,
There is no incessant interrupting, and no ego...!

This path is pink, and the boat is pink too,

I float in the river rosily too...!
I speak pink, and I bear pink too,
I seems I'll remain pink too...!

This heart knows that the color of love is pink,

Everybody knows that the color of love is pink,

The pain is pink, the relief is pink,

The medicine is pink, and the effect is pink too...!

Your name is pink, your eyes are pink,

And with the pink eyes, the journey is pink too...!

We're pink when slow, and pink when fast,

our lips make a pink mischief too...!

Kiss me pink, O pink dyer,
Take me slow, take me fast, pink...!

Water In My Eyes...!

Seeing the color of water,
tears roll down my eyes
my lover didn't come, my beloved didn't come..
seeing the glow of the eyes,
tears roll down my eyes...!

I went mad without you, come o my love,

all the rain flowed away, nothing stayed in my heart,
seeing the glow of eyes,
tears roll down my eyes...!

on the roof our eyes meet,

I don't have to leave you ever...!
I fell for you, I love you,
You'll not find anyone else (so much loving)
You too come, leaving everyone...!
You too come, leaving everyone...!
tears roll down my eyes...!
tears roll down the eyes...!

MadnessS...!

A passion, a madness,
in every direction, everywhere,
intoxication,
in every direction, everywhere...!

say slowly these spilling colors,

whatever stories are there from yesterday, forget them.
someone slowly says to my heart,
become at least someone's, let some magic work (on you)...!

these moments which are fulfilling, which are completely inebriated,
this moment holds intoxications,
now it seems (OR that's the style) every hand has a musical instrument,
colors are dissolved into sounds/voices...!

breaking all chains, leaving all complications,
we're there, heart's there and there's vagrancy,
for a few days, the time that has come upon us-
everyone know, is vagrancy...!

O heart, why do u cry...!

when the cloud of sadness came over,
when the shadow of sorrow waved,
when tears reached eyelids,
when the lonely heart was worried,
I told the heart
O heart, why do u cry
it happens in the world,
the deep silences that are there,
time has given them to all,
a little sorrow is part of everyone's story,
and everyone has got some sunshine,
your eyes are wet for no reason,
every moment it's a new weather,
why do you lose moments like that,
O heart, why do u cry...!

Tee teeee teee teee...!

One dream has hit my eyes
It showed you
Transformed me into you...!
Like a magic your smile pulled me toward you
It caught me, today...!
Though I was with in you, all I wanted was your love
I was with you, with in you and I've loved you through out...!
All these, there was abundant happiness
Right at the moment, all that's gone
Moon light has become darkness
Those laughs are no more
These sorrows like a shadow always accompany me
I'm hurt now
Will this time heal the thing and show me the way??
I'm nothing but you, your silence
And in this(my heart) it is always you...!
O Blue moon, would you come down here?
Or you would like to stay there?
O moon light, atleast you come
And would you like to join us??
Don't know where this distance between us ends
Don't know when the silence between us would break
Relationship got vaporised, and the determination(to stay  strong) is the thing that keeps you alive
And the love , became writings written on water
What for this life is?
For filling my eyes with tears?
Shall I come with you?
Shall I become your shadow?
(Though you're angry)

Alive...!

If you are moving
with an eagerness in your heart,
then you are alive...!
if you're moving
with the sparks of dreams in your eyes,
then you're alive...!
learn to live freely
like the gusts of wind,
Learn to flow in waves,
like a river does...!
Meet every moment
with your arms open,
Every moment these eyes should
watch a new weather,
If you're moving with
a bewilderment in your eyes
then you are alive,
If you are moving
with an eagerness in your heart,
then you are alive...!

Pongal Bhogi Makara Sankranthi...!

The first day of Makara Sankranthi or Pongal is celebrated as the Bhogi. The theme of these festivals is Thanks giving to nature and gods who blessed people with a good harvest. Bhogi panduga is in honor of Lord Indra who is the God of Clouds and Rains. Lord Indra is worshiped for the abundance of harvest, thereby bringing plenty and prosperity to the land.

Sankranti(A.P,Karnataka),Pongal(Tamil Nadu),Makar Sankranti (Maharastra and Gujarat) and Lohri (Punja and Haryana). Sankranti which is the most important festival for us Telugus and is called 'Pedda Panduga' ( big festival) signifying that it is a time to discard the old and welcome the new and is the harbinger of more light and sunshine in life.Sankranti is celebrated over four days, the first day(14th Jan) is called 'Bhogi', the second day(15th) is 'Sankranti', the third day(16th) is, 'Kanuma' and the fourth day (17th),'Mukkanuma'.

Inspite of the fast changing times with people migrating from villages to bigger cities in search of greener pastures and with cities expanding ,the spirit behind the way we celebrate our festivals has not quite changed.Bhogi, the first day is marked with gaiety and is celebrated on the eve of Sankranti or Pongal in all its entirety with traditional practices and customs which have been followed since our forefathers.

Early in the morning at 4 a.m ,a bonfire (Bhogimantalu) is lit on the occasion of Bhogi symbolizing ringing out the old to ring in the new.Old brooms, baskets, clothes, junk firewood, broken wooden furniture are all thrown into the fire signifying the cleansing of the house and a fresh start to the new year.Life is seen as a continuous renewal. This is the picture of our Bhogimantalu on Bhogi day at 5 a.m

Another great sight in every village during Sankranti is a decorated bull with multi-coloured attire moving from one house to another led by its master who plays the nadaswaram (flute) to the accompaniment of the dol (a drum). The 'gangireddi' is trained to perform a variety of feats like nodding in acceptance, kneeling and bowing down and even dancing! You will find the decorated bull going around each home here in the city too during the festival season.Old clothes, raw rice and money are given away to the gangireddula vadu (bull’s master) in charity on the occasion of Sankranti. Here's a picture of a fully adorned gangireddu with his gangireddi vaallu (masters) performing a feat in front of my ammamma's(grandmother)home.

WHO ARE YOU...!

When Yesterday haunts in the name of truth
and When today becomes history
I'm questioning myself
Shall I ask you too?
WHO ARE YOU?
Just ask your heart, Who you really are!!

You're not a name, not some place, not the face

You're not cash, Then What?
You're not time, not dream, not game either
You're You, Then what?

Are you a Columbus in the search of self?

Are you chorus, who sings with self?
Are you Hercules bearing yourself?
Are you chess, who plays with self?

A game?
A song?
A hunt?
A hunter?

WHO ACTUALLY ARE YOU?

Even before the invention/birth of fire, You've got desire/determination(fire) in your heart

Even before the invention/birth of water, You've got those tears  ( in your eyes)
Even before you've inhaled air, You've got a tornado in your breath
The presence of Land, sky is itself a question infront of you now.

Fire?
